Resumen:
We identify luminous red galaxy (LRG) systems in the Sloan Survey, using
a percolation algorithm. We find 737 systems with at least 4 members,
on a total of 17977 LRGs in the range 0.30<z<0.45. Galaxy systems
where clasified acording to shape and compactness. We analyze
overdensity of galaxies in the photometric parent catalogue and compare
the peack locations with the LRG positions. We find that there is a
close relation between the locations of LRG systems and fainter galaxies
observable up to m_r=22. The spatial distribution of galaxies around
LRGs suggests a dependence on the compactness of the LRG group. We identify systems of luminous red galaxies (LRGs) in the SDSS, using a percolation algorithm. We find 17977 systems in the redshift
range 0.30 < z < 0.45, out of which 737 have at least 4 members. Galaxy systems were classified according to their geometric shape and
compactness. We search for faint galaxy overdensity variations around
these systems in the photometric catalogue finding significant
overdensities associated to these systems. The shapes of the
overdensity regions suggest a dependence on the compactness of the
systems of LRGs.
