Resumen:
The semicontinuous aqueous-solution polymerization of AA at 60 °C was investigated employing both laboratory-scale (LS) and pilot-scale (PS) reactors. First, three LS experiments (LS1-LS3) were carried out in a 1 L reactor, employing a 20% solids-content recipe and 3 different initiator concentrations (1, 4, and 8% with respect to the total AA). Then, the experiment of 4% initiator was carried out in a 20 L reactor (PS2), to test the robustness of the proposed strategy.
