Resumen:
Capillary column wall surfaces had been functionalized for different applications. One of the most interesting methodologies is the use of immunoaffinity in capillary electrophoresis, improving selectivity and sensitivity [1].     The use of whole antibodies or antibodies fragments directed against an antigen, improves specificity for the target analyte. Antibodies affinity can be directed to large proteins, haptens, and due to membrane antigens affinity may reach specificity to bacteria.      Among different techniques for capillary column derivatization, sol-gel chemistry has been widely used to bond antibodies in the capillary column wall surface [2, 3]. The aim of this work is introduce wall coating in a short section of the capillary column using polyclonal antibodies and sol-gel methodology. These let us to obtain immunoaffinity against an Escherichia coli membrane protein.
