Resumen:
The following poster presents an on-going research which focuses on studying the possible existance of interactions between the personal style of the therapist, the theoretical framework and the types of interventions used by cognitive and psychodynamic psychotherapists, during the first therapeutic session of the treatment. For the recollection of data, audio recordings of the first therapeutic session –not the first interview- are being made, for both types of treatment. The tools being used for the analysis of the data are the Personal Style of the Therapist Questionnaire (PST-Q) designed by Fernández Alvarez et al. (2003) and the classification schemata of cognitive, psychoanalytic and generic interventions designed by Roussos, Waizmann & Etchebarne (2003). The purpose of this research is to find out a) if the personal style of the therapist affects the type, sequence (order of occurrence) and/or frequency with which psychotherapists intervene during the first therapeutic session; and b) if the personal style of the therapists and their theoretical framework interact in the process of construction of interventions. Keywords: Personal style of the therapist; theoretical framework; types of interventions; cognitive and psycodynamic treatments.
