Resumen:
Ignacio Etchebarne, Vanina Waizmann. Manuela O’Connell, Analia Lenardon The aim of this paper is to present the assessment of the interventions used in two psychotherapeutic treatments, one cognitive and one psychoanalytically oriented. Sessions from these two therapeutic treatments were audio recorded and transcribed, in order to analyze the type of interventions used, their frequency, their sequence and their distribution across each session through the whole treatment. The sessions and interventions were analyzed independently by trained judges in three different levels: descriptive, content and space-temporal. The interventions were studied in their session context, taking into account both patient and therapist’s speech. Regarding the sequence of the interventions, the interaction among the different types allowed to generate sets of interventions based on the content and the therapeutic strategy. Likewise, the intervention’s degree of adherence to the theoretical framework was considered, assessing the specific or unspecific quality of the interventions presented by the therapists. Key words psychotherapeutic interventions, specific interventions, cognitive and psychoanalytic psychotherapies
