We study the diffraction of electromagnetic waves at periodically corrugated isotropic - gyroelectrornagnetic surfaces, in the index-matching situation, when the plane of incidence forms an arbitrary angle with the main section of the grating (" conical mounting" ) . It is shown that, under these conditions, eigenmodes can be excited at certain angles of incidence, which can be calculated.
