Resumen:
Different alloys powder were used to produce clads on a AA7075 substrate using a CO2 laser. BMG Mg and Zr based alloys showed large fraction of amorphous phase. However, Al-Fe-Nb alloys couldn't be vitrified. Quasicrsytal compositions of several Al-based systems allowed to prepared quasicrystalling coating easily. X-ray diffraction and SEM-EDX were used to characterise the microstructure of the coatings.
