Resumen:
Aims: Alliance is considered as one of the main predictors of change in psychotherapy. However, the strength of the correlations between these variables has been widely discussed. The aim of this study is to analyze an alternative construct for Alliance, called the Negotiation of the Alliance (Safran, 2011), that assesses the degree in which patient and therapist negotiate disagreements and address obstacles in the bond, and its relationship with Early Responses and Outcome. Methods: A Sample of forty-‐five patients with emotional disorders completed the Alliance Negotiation Scale (ANS) and the Outcome Questionnaire. 45 (OQ-‐45)after each of the first four sessions of cognitive integrative psychotherapy.A subsample of seventeen participants completed as well the OQ-‐45 after treatment´s termination. Correlation and regression analysis were conducted.
