Resumen:
The Tordillos prospect is a copper (U-V) deposit hosted in the coarsest facies of the paleochannels of Huincul Formation. The U anomalies (135 ppm and 251 ppm) are erratic and correlate with the presence of abundant supergene V-U-bearing minerals. Copper mineralization consists of interstitial Cu and Fe sulfides replacing early barite cement (1, 2). A tree generation of barite (3) veins cut the previous cements and grains. Uranium mineralization consists of francevillita and carnotite and is spatial associated to barite (cements and veins) and Cu supergene minerals. Their textural relationships have revealed that copper sulfates precipitation played an important role in the precipitation of K and Ba uranil vanadates.
