Resumen:
In order to improve the prediction of the mechanical behavior of polycrystalline materials, identification procedure based on inverse method from macroscopic and local strain field measurements are actually developed. However, even if the description of the microstructure by means of crystalline orientation field analysis (EBSD) is more and more accurate and the description of the boundaries conditions is more and more realistic, these experimental characterizations are limited to the surface’s observation and the effect of the third direction (thickness) is often neglected. The purpose of this paper is to simulate a realistic 3D microstructure from statistical 2D characterization (grain size distribution, texture distribution, grain’s shape) and to compare it to classical Voronoi cell distribution. The effects of these different 3D microstructures on the mechanical response at the global and local scales (specially strain field heterogeneities) will be compare with the experimental one. The effect of the boundary conditions (displacement or loading) on the localization pattern will be discussed in more details.
