Residence-time distribution measurements in the liquid phase of a trickle-bed reactor operating in the gas-continuous flow regime have been carried out. A pulse of 1 N KCl solution was injected and the response was analyzed by conductimetric probes at two points below thie injection one. The main variables investigated were: packing geometry, viscosity of the liquid phase and liquid flow rate .
