Resumen:
Evolution of chemical and textural-morphological features characterizing two nativehardwoods species (Aspidosperrna Quebracho Blanco Schlecht and Aspidosperma Australe)subjected to pyrolysis at different operating conditions was analyzed by several techniques.Results point to significant features changes which are, in general, strongly affected bypyrolysis conditions, particularly temperature. Furthermore, kinetic measurements of woodspyrolysis were performed by non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis, from ambienttemperatures up to 1123 K. A deactivation model reported in the literature, which predicts anincrease of activation energy with reaction extent, successfully describes kinetic data for bothspecies over the whole range of degradation temperatures.
