Resumen:
The results of the Planck mission have successfully constrained or ruled out a large set of infationary models. The recent detection of B-mode polarization at degree angular scales by BICEP2 highlights the current experimental capability to probe the existence of a primordial gravitational wave background (PGWB). In this talk, after a short summary of the observable predictions of inflationary models, I will discuss about how much we might be able to learn about the physics of inflation. I will present recent results on some theoretical implications that a future detection of PGWB would have for discriminating among different models, and some preliminary results on the evaluation of forecast for future B-mode polarization experiments.
