Resumen:
The evolution of structure and hydrogen sorption properties of both LaNi5 and a LaNi5-LmNi5 mixture are analyzed in this work. Kinetics and equilibrium hydrogen sorption properties from 25 to 90 ºC were obtained using volumetric methods. The effect of cycling on particles morphology and chemical composition were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. The results obtained are discussed along with the possibilities of using AB5-AB5´ mixtures for tuning of the sorption properties of alloys used in compression devices.
