Resumen:
The anionic surfactant sodium dehydrocholate (NaDHC) has a cholesteric backbone similar lo That of bile satts. However, because it has not hydroxyl groups it may not, form hydrogen bonds among neighbouring hydrophobic backbones as in bile salt micelles. The critical micelle concentraúon (CMC) of differenl mixtures of NaDHC and hexadecytrimethylarnmonium bromide (CTAB) was determined by several different methods. CMC values were analysed as a function of the surfactant composition, the mole fraction of NaDHC in the total surfactanl mixture (without water), by the regular solution theory (RST).
