Resumen:
Influenza is a public health problem that affects 5-20% of the world population annually causing high morbidity and mortality especially in groups at risk; and, at the same time, poses a potential pandemic threat.Virological surveillance in Argentina is based on the year round sampling effort of the 65 laboratories that form the Influenza and other Respiratory Viruses Laboratory Network as part of the virological influenza surveillance conducted by theNational Influenza Centre (NIC) that also depends on the Argentinean Ministry of Health.
