Resumen:
Perhaps one of the most significant characteristics of Ancient Egyptian society might be their belief in the divinity of their kings, the pharaohs. Not so characteristic -although as significant- it appears to be another of their beliefs: the first kings of the Nile were the gods themselves. Both qualities state a question: in which conditions does Egyptian thought produce such link between kingship and divinity? And, furthermore, why is this link expressed in a double way, that is, kings seen as gods and gods seen as kings?
