Resumen:
Cyprinodontiformesare an order of fishes commonly used as bait and some genres are being used as a modelexperimental in toxicological studies, environmental impact and as control larvae insect vectors of disease. Since reproductively point of view, the families constituting this order can be divided in oviparous, ovoviviparous and viviparous. In our country there are two families with internal fertilization, PoecilidaeandAnablepidae. This study aims to compare the embryological development, and structures by contact maternal-embryo for the genresJenynsia sp. and Cnesterodon sp., and at the same time compare it with Poeciliareticulata, one of the most studied members of Poecilidaefamily. Were used adult females that were sacrificed in different stages of the reproductive cycle for the euthanasia methods accepted by international animal welfare committees.Samples were fixed by immersion in Bouin?s fluid and routinely processed in paraffin wax. Subsequently, sections were cut at a thickness of 4μm, and were stained with haemtoxylin and eosin (H-E) and Masson trichrome. The microscopic analysis of the samples showed that the follicular wallof the maternal part is richly vascularized, and the maternal capillaries are closely contact to the embryonic capillaries of the yolk sac. Furthermore, the follicle wall or lumen wall, depending on the families,PoecilidaeorAnablepidae respectively, becomes secretory due to its increased surface area per villi or crests, transforming itself in a nutritive epithelium.
