Resumen:
The CGA congress (http://www.congresogeologico.org.ar/sesiones-temas.php) is the most important event in the Earth Sciences of Argentina and is held every three years. This time, it was held at the oldest University of Argentina, the National University of Córdoba (founded in yr. 1613). It was an excellent opportunity to present the IFG and the associated project to the geological community of Argentina, because ca. 1,200 geoscientists attended the meeting. The mid-day Worskhop of the SAQint3 project (D. KRÖHLING, Coord.) was a space for discussion by some of the formal participants of the project in order to enhance the exchange of information and strategies for the objectives of the project. It was attended by ca. 30 geoscientists working on Quaternary. The central point for discussions was the edition of a special volume of Quaternary International that will collect some selected contributions of the Symposia. Also presentation of the Sam-GeoQuat IFG and its related project 1311 and future activities were conducted.
