Resumen:
We present a detailed topology analysis of active region (AR) 10978, based on a Potential Field Source Surface (PFSS) model. AR 10978 is a simple bipolar region which appears fully covered by the magnetic field lines of a streamer. Our results show that via magnetic reconnection, occurring in at least two main steps, it is possible for the AR plasma, contained in the outflows observed at its borders, to be released into the solar wind.
