Resumen:
We present measurements of Raman scattering due to embedded CdTe quantum well (QW) optical phonons in a II-VI semiconductor microcavity. These have been performed under outgoing-resonance condition with the cavity medium polariton branch. The CdTe optical phonon spectra shows a main peak and small equidistant oscillations towards lower phonon energies, which are assigned to the shape produced by the QW confined phonons. The unexpected fact that the oscillations are found to be equidistant, thus leading to an almost linear effective confined phonon dispersion, is attributed to interdiffusion of atoms at the QW interfaces providing a rather parabolic-shaped phonon-confining potential. Making use of a simple ``effective mass´´ model to describe the optical phonon confinement we are able to obtain the compositional profile of the optical cavity embedded QW´s
