Resumen:
Human evacuation is an important issuein building designs. It has been arguedthat placing an obstacle in front of theexit door improves the outgoing pedestrianow by absorbing pressure, and consequently, translating clogging effects toan early stage. We examined the statisticalbehaviour of a panicked crowd inthe context of the social force model, underthe hypothesis of to different target selectionstrategies. In one case (the originalone in the social force model) the pedestrianpoints towards the exit whether it is visibleor not. In the other (clever pedestrians)they point towards the rst visible opening. Our conclusion is that clever pedestriansare less efcient in evacuating the room
