Resumen:
Several projects regarding the gradual implementation of electronic voting are being debated nowadays in the Argentine Congress. These projects consider that e-voting will be established in a near future, but that certain precautions must be taken in order to ensure that this system achieves the required goals of universality, secrecy, its compulsory nature, and the freedom of the voter to elect any candidate. Due to the current state of these legislative projects, the problem of deploying evoting systems that are reliable is a challenge that cannot be ignored. In this paper we will study how open source Direct Recording Electronic evoting systems should be developed in their early phases, with concentration in architectural and security issues. We will also define a unied evoting schema that takes into account simultaneously most of the principles of existing evoting schemas in the literature, leading to the denition of better architectures and to increase security.
