7Be in rain water and soil in South American ecosystems: Progress in its use to document soil redistribution.

This contribution shows the first steps on the application of 7Be for soil redistribution studies in the framework of the IAEA ARCAL RLA 5/0/51 project: “Using Environmental Radionuclides as Indicators of Land Degradation in Latin American, Caribbean and Antarctic Ecosystems”. The results are presented for three South American sites: San Luis (S 33º90'; W 66º18', Argentina), Niterói (S 22°54'; W 43°8', Brazil) and Piracicaba (S 22°43''; W 47°38', Brazil).
