Resumen:
This paper aims to evaluate the performance of a commercial nanofiltration membrane with a tannery effluent. Different cleaning methods were tested to reduce fouling problem, and the influence of the feed flow rate was evaluated. The procedure cleaning with hot citric acid was the best cleaning method, permitting the recovery of about 85-96% of the initial water permeability of membrane. Higher permeate fluxes and a reduce of membrane fouling were observed when the feed flow rate was increased.
