The respiratory epithelium contributes to immune response against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) playing a critical role in its dissemination. The aim of this study was to evaluate the Mtb effect on entry receptors and on ICAM-1 molecules, in 24h stimulated human alveolar A549 cell line with H37Rv and multi-drug resistant clinical isolates from Argentina: M strain (Haarlem) and Ra strain (LAM) by FACS.
