The objective of this paper is to analyze two recent events in Argentina's political life. First, the public demonstrations held by groups that defend the last dictatorship during 2005 and 2006. Second, the designation of actors linked to torture of the seventies in the government of Mendoza in 2006. The treatment of these two cases, from the perspective proposed by Chantal Mouffe in On the Political, permits to better understand which is the hegemonic concept of democracy in the country.
