Resumen:
The use of stator currents harmonics as a potential tool for the diagnosis of rotor faults in induction motors is analyzed in this paper. The analysis presented is focused in those components produced by the interaction between the rotor faults and the harmonics of the spatial distribution of stator windings. These components are also compared with those resulting from the interaction between voltage harmonics and the rotor fault. A multiple coupled circuit model of the induction motor is used to evaluate the sensitivity of the proposed components for different winding configurations. Finally, experimental and simulation results are presented to validate the proposal.
