Abstract A gravimetric report was realized on the Valley of La Rioja basin and bounding zones, from which was prepared a map of Bouguer isoanomalies. This map was analyzed using the following technologies of modern filters and procedures: a) analytical ascending continuation; b) horizontal gradient of "g"; c) total gradient (analytic signal); d) spectrum of power and e) deconvolutions (of Wener and Euler). With these methods it was possible to verify the extent of the basin and observe that inside the same one there exists a zone of major depth, which is separated in two by an alignment N-NW to S.SE. It is possible to determine that the depth of the basement of the basin would be approximately 5 km and that the zone of Mesozoic rift interpreted by the seismic could be from 2.5 km and up to 5 km of depth.
