Resumen:
The data for different charge states of projectiles was compared with the model predictions. It was observed that for the first and to some extent second ionization the plasmon excitation model agrees with the data qualitatively better than the LPA based model. Where as for third ionization the LPA based model predicts the projectile charge state dependence better than the plasmon excitation model. This indicated that the single ionization process is a result of Giant Plasmon Excitation where as higher ionizations are due to the continuous electronic energy loss by the projectile to the molecule.
