Resumen:
The objective of this study was determinate if the effect of iPAR variations on individual dry weight and oil relative content is due to changes in duration and/or growth rate in linear fase of the growing curve. After end of flowering four treatments were made to variate iPAR (72, 100, 133 and 256 % of the control). Fruit dry weight and oil relative content curves were made for all treatments. Temperature were measure in sunflower heads of all treatments. Variations of iPAR affected oil relative content in the way of changes in linear phase duration of the curve. Individual dry weight growth rate was only lower in 72 % iPAR treatment, while duration were different for 100, 133 and 256 % treatments. Temperature could not permite explain the effects on the studied acumulation dynamics. Key Words: sunflower, intercepted photosinthetic active radiation (iPAR), relative oil content, fruits dry weight
