Resumen:
This presentation is part of ongoing research on similarities and differences in the way psychoanalysts and cognitive therapists work clinically. The purpose of this particular project was to explore the therapeutic goals set for patients and the utilization of technical resources taken from diverse theoretical frameworks on the part of psychoanalysts and cognitive therapists. Seventy- eight psychotherapists, 38 psychoanalysts and 40 cognitive psychotherapists participated in this study. A list of 13 therapeutic goals was presented, and the therapists were asked to circle the 5 they considered most relevant. Their utilization of resources from diverse theoretical frameworks was explored. Results are presented.
