The failure of the Aetolian deditio as a didactic cultural clash in the Histories of Polybios

I will seek to discuss here some of these assumed ideas, because I want to rethink if Polybius was really forcing reality to present a state of cultural clash and to ask if was there really an identity between fides and πίστις and if not why the necessity of explaining many times the meaning of a supposed really common practice. The aim of this work is then to reassert the traditional view on cultural clash about the abortive Aetolian deditio and also to suggest its didactic sense in Polybian discourse.
