Resumen:
This work is about the control of a fed-batch reactor for the production of penicillin and the design of suboptimal control strategies inside the Hamiltonian two-degrees-of-freedom control framework applied to nonlinear systems. These strategies enable us to (i) generate a suboptimal control that lead to the batch process towards its desired outputs, (ii) attenuate perturbations and noises there are always present in the operation of the process and, (iii) handle constraints in the control variable u(t). The resulting laws are simple PIs that update its suboptimal parameters “on-line”.
