Resumen:
We investigate the dependence on spin of the transition from the quantum Hall (QH) state to the compressible state in bilayer electron systems at nu_T = 1. Applying an in-plane feld B, we demonstrate that, in the regime of negligible tunneling, the spin degree of freedom is a crucial variable in the phase transition. The quasiparticle gap of the QH state was investigated under the effects of B.
