We here examined the ability of flagellin from S. typhimurium (Fg) to modulate neutrophilsurvival. Dose-dependent studies showed that Fg inhibits spontaneous neutrophil apoptosisafter 24 h of culture at concentrations ranging from 1 to 100 ng/ml (% of apoptosis evaluated byfluorescent microscopy: 55±9, 42±11, 21±5 and 18±4, in the presence of Fg 0, 1, 10 and 100ng/ml respectively; n=6, p
