Resumen:
Several processes are applied to broaden the end-uses of polypropylene (PP) like postpolymerization modification. These processes improve the compatibility with substrates, mechanical properties, barrier properties, processability, etc. Therefore, molecular structure modification from linear to branched has been oneof the most strategies used to increase the melt strength of PP. In this work, branched polypropylenes (Pb and Cb) were produced from PP and propylene-ethylene copolymer by reactive mixing. The final materials were characterized byinfrared spectroscopy (IR), size exclusion chromatography (SEC), and small amplitude oscillatory shear rheology (SAOS).
