Resumen:
Methylobacterium sp. 2A is a plant growth promoting rhizobacteria that was found attached to the roots of potato plants with increased number of root hairs, can stimulate A thaliana growth and can produce high levels of IAA (indole 3 acetic acid) auxin in vitro and encodes two IAA biosynthesispathways in its genome. The genus Methylobacterium includes facultative methylotrophic bacteria with the ability to utilize methanol and formaldehyde as energy and carbon sources. These microorganisms can harvest the emitted methanol via stomata and consume it
