Non-Kolmogorovian probabilities and quantum contextuality: from foundations to quantum technologies

In this talk we consider quantum theory from the point of view of a non-Kolmogorovian probability calculus, in connection to quantum contextuality. This fundamental feature of quantum theory has received a lot of attention recently, given that it might be connected to the speed-up of quantum computers - a phenomenon which is not fully understood yet. We analyze different open problems from a conceptual standpoint, using the the non-Kolmogorovian probability approach as a tool.
