Hacia la sustentabilidad de los bienes forestales nativos de la provincia Paranaense: evaluación de la diversidad y estructura genética poblacional de curupay, timbó y anchico colorado

Genetic diversity and population genetic structure of three native species from Paranaense phytogeographic province were evaluated. Specific microsatellite markers were used forgenotyping individuals of curupay, timbó, and anchico colorado. Strong spatial geneticstructure (SGS) for anchico colorado and curupay was detected, inbreeding was high incurupay and low in anchico colorado, while in timbó neither SGS nor inbreeding effects weredetected. The different distribution patterns of population genetic variability could result fromthe specific dispersal mechanisms of each species. Therefore, the sustainability of nativeforest resources requires the evaluation of dispersal mechanisms and levels of gene flowbetween populations.
