Resumen:
The paper discusses Jackman´s paper "Truth, normativity and interpretational theories of meaning". Jackman aims to defend, in an original way, the thesis that meaning is normative. My comment is divided into two parts: in the first one, I make a summary of Jackman´s main ideas; in the second one, I briefly discuss Jackman´s reconstruction of Davidson´s and Kripke´s semantics; and his understanding of the Principle of Charity. Finally, I conclude with a general observation about the need to clarify which are the bearers of meaning in order to establish the normative character of meaning.
