The aluminosilicates materials Na-AlSBA-3 was synthesized, with aim to apply in the design and preparation of the nano-composite polypyrole/Na-AlSBA-3 (PPy/SBA-3). The novel Na-AlSBA-3 (material that we have not find information reported) was synthesised in our laboratory. The material was exposed to pure pyrrole vapours at 353K to obtain pyrrole saturated hosts. When the pyrrole is adsorbed into the material one H-N-H bending and two C-C ring stretching vibrations can be observed. Mesoporous PPy/SBA-3 composite was prepared. The polypyrrole (PPy) was polymerized inside the pores of the mesoporous material by a post-synthesis process. The composites obtained by an in-situ polymerization technique, was characterized by infrared spectroscopy. The FTIR analysis shows characteristics PPy bands. Incorporation of PPy inside the channels of Na-AlSBA-3, may provide a material with different electronic and mechanical characteristics such as a better environmental stability and special conducting properties.
