Resumen:
The architecture of plants responds to endogenous processes and to the influence of environmental factors. The allometric study of architecture has been a challenge for Biology. We define a new finite dimension of plants (and of roots), and compute examples. Our first results suggest that there is a close relationship between the finite dimension (as a function of time) and the ontogenesis, of plants and roots. We obtain an objective metric that allows a detailed study of ontogenesis of plants (and of roots). Our definition is based on a new finite Hausdorff dimension introduced recently which, in contrast to the classical Hausdorff dimension, is not zero on finite sets.
