Resumen:
In the aera of moving geometries with six degrees of freedom, advanced dynamic meshmethods are required, such as mesh overlapping strategies or embedded methods. However, their im-plementation is intricate and could lead to numerical errors due to the geometric decoupling of the dis-cretization. Recent research in the field of object flotation has examined the feasibility of combiningsliding mesh techniques with layer addition and removal strategies or mesh deformation. Used in con-junction, these techniques could offer a versatile approach for simulating systems with six degrees offreedom. In this context, the present work delves into the mesh deformation strategy, adding flexibility topartition the domain in parallel executions. This technique has been implemented using the Finite Volu-me Method in OpenFOAM(R). The results obtained in the model validation, using simple cases extractedfrom the literature, show that the approach is accurate and efficient. This makes it a promising candidatefor applications in various engineering scenarios.
