Resumen:
Spexin (SPX) is an adipokine involved in the regulation of adiposetissue (AT) metabolism and biology. Among its effects, SPX inhibitsterminal adipogenesis, lipogenesis and glucose uptake. Here, westudy the effect of SPX on adipogenic potential of adipocyte precursorcells (APC). For this aim, male mice were treated (SPX) ornot (CTR) with SPX for ten days (ip. 29 μg/kg/day), body weightand caloric intake were recorded daily. Stromal Vascular Fraction(SVF) cells, containing APC, from Inguinal and Epididymal AT (IATand EAT, respectively) were isolated. APC number was quantified(Flow Cytometry, APC markers: CD34+/CD31-/CD45-) and geneexpression in SVF cells was evaluated (qPCR).
