Resumen:
Electrochemical techniques require precise control of the potential applied to an electrochemical cell using a potentiostat. Commercial equipment, in addition to being highly expensive, works as "black boxes" providing limited information about its circuits and operation, which makes it very difficult to repair them in case of failure. In recent years, potentiostat projects have been proposed with design goals such as low manufacturing cost, measurement quality, ease of use, and versatility. Following this path, we designed DM-Stat, an open-source, completely wireless potentiostat based on the ESP32 microcontroller with integrated Wi-Fi and a web graphical interface. It is capable of executing electrochemical techniques of cyclic voltammetry, square wave voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry, and chronoamperometry. The low cost and open source nature of DMStat provides the opportunity to perform electrochemical experiments that could only be performed in laboratories equipped with expensive devices.
