Resumen:
In situ snow monitoring in the Andes is a complex task due to numerous factors, such as high altitudes, harsh weather, limited infrastructure, rapid snowmelt, and complex accumulation and melting processes. In this study we use Sentinel-2, Landsat and MODIS data to develop 50-m resolution, daily snow cover area (SCA) and snow water equivalent (SWE) time series from 01/04/2018 until 31/03/2023 for four important river basins in Chile and Argentina (Maipo, Aconcagua, Mendoza and Tunuyan).
