Resumen:
Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) is an Andean crop, characterized by its excellent nutritional profile and notable tolerance to abiotic stress, such as freezing, draught or salinity. Previous reports(Burrieza et al. 2012) show that cv. Hualhuas quinoa plants can complete their life cycles and develop viable seeds when treated with 500 mM NaCl during their development this sodium contentbeing over the one found in sea water. This works objective was studying quinoa plants treated with high salinity at molecular, structural and physiological levels, being leaves our main focus.
