Analysis and a Conceptual Framework of Short-Term Planning Operation of South American Active Distribution Systems

Nowadays, new operation planning tools are required to provide support to the distribution operation and allow the transition towards the active distribution networks. In this paper a new short-term an integral methodological framework of (a day-ahead) distribution operation planning (DOP) is conceptually proposed, that estimates, evaluate and manage a day-ahead all possible operative states that may occur in the system, considering together the distributed energy resources and passive elements of the network. Besides, it has into account the characteristics of South American distribution systems providing the operator an efficient program which supports the operative real time decision-making.
