In this abstract we report results of Monte Carlo simulations in a magnetic model for Lu(1−x)SrxFe0.5Cr0.5O3 perovskites with x = 0 and x = 0.1. The purpose of this analysis is to explain the appearance of hysteresis in M vs H loops, when a coexistence of Cr4+ and Cr3+ ions in sites B of the perovskites is assumed. We found that the ferromagnetic coupling of Fe+3 and Cr+4 through double exchange interactions increases the magnetization at high fields and that the hysteretic behavior found in simulations might be due to the coupling of the Cr4+ moments with the applied field which induces a reorientation of the spins of the B lattice.
